About us
In 2007 Mathew Wood (Founder and Managing Director) started Omegapharm using his 18 years of healthcare experience.
His vision was to develop a business model that focused on providing hospital pharmacists with supply solutions for products that were being ignored by the Pharmaceutical industry. Omegapharms’ established product range has been developed by Mathew in consultation with hospital pharmacists.
Mathew’s healthcare career began in 1991 when he joined Hospital Supplies of Australia (formally Victorian Healthcare Association) as a Contracts Officer. Since then he has worked in all aspects of the healthcare industry including State Tender Contract Management, Hospital Distribution (including setting up the first Ward Logistics program ‘Ward Box’ for pharmaceuticals at Cabrini in Melbourne), and has held various Senior Management roles within the Pharmaceutical Industry effectively rising from the office clerk to the sole owner and creator of Omegapharm.
Mathew is a ‘hands-on’ owner and he directs all aspects of the business.
With these two important milestones completed Mathew’s sole focus is now on the customer. He will dedicate all of his time and energy to ensure Omegapharm sets new industry service standards on how to conduct business with hospital pharmacists.

Omegapharm’s product range was developed in consultation with Australian hospital pharmacists. The range has been tailored to meet the diverse medical needs of patients in an innovative, socially responsible and commercially viable manner.
Omegapharm has acquired the rights to a number of high quality established sterile injectable products. These medicines cover a broad range of disease areas incorporating; infectious diseases, oncology, pain management and dermatology.
Omegapharm’s innovative partnership with our manufacturing partners provides a foundation for us to commercialize generic products based on the needs of Australian hospital pharmacies.
Our manufacturing agreements advance our goal to provide hospital pharmacies with a wide offering of affordable medicines they can trust. Omegapharm’s manufacturing partners have reputation for high quality and supply reliability in the critical area of sterile injectables.
